United Arab Emirates is located Middle East, bordering the Gulf of Oman and the Persian Gulf, between Oman and Saudi Arabia. The climate is desert; cooler in eastern mountains. The terrain is flat, barren coastal plain merging into rolling sand dunes of vast desert wasteland; mountains in east.

DWT or dead weight tonnage is the total weight of cargo, plus bunkers, stores, etc., that a ship can carry when immersed to the appropriate load line.
